Tyler is co-founder of Cypress Real Estate Partners, LLC and Cypress Development Partners, LLC. He has close to thirty years of commercial real estate experience and is skilled in developing and selling net lease retail properties in the Carolinas and across the Eastern Seaboard.
A former partner and principal at Colliers International, Tyler has developed in excess of 100 properties and sold, for his account and third party clients, in seven states with an aggregate value in excess of $400 million dollars. He specializes in development for single-tenant net lease properties with clients including Advance Auto, Dollar General, Bojangles, Doctor’s Care and BI-LO. He is a graduate of Colgate University and Harvard Business School.
Tyler is also active in many community causes. He currently serves on the Executive Committee and Advisory Board of the Salvation Army of the Midlands and is a past participant in the Parents’ Advisory Councils with the University of the South and Vanderbilt University. He is a former board member of Heathwood Hall Episcopal School. When he’s not developing properties, Tyler enjoys spending time with his wife Ellen and their three grown children, traveling with family and friends, running and playing golf.

Active in the commercial real estate industry for more than 25 years, Mark is co-founder of Cypress Real Estate Partners, LLC and Cypress Development Partners, LLC. His role at Cypress focuses on commercial real estate development and asset management.
Before founding Cypress, Mark worked in corporate real estate at Flagstar Companies, McDonald’s Restaurants and BI-LO Supermarkets, where he built a reputation of professionalism based on his attention to details and his skill in completing projects on-time and on-budget. He is a graduate of Wofford College and a native of Columbia, SC.
Very active in his community, Mark is currently a member of the Columbia Chamber of Commerce Executive Committee and Board of Directors, Trinity Episcopal Cathedral Foundation, Treasurer of the Shine A Light Foundation and Vice Chairman of Still Hopes Episcopal Retirement Community Board. He has also served as Chairman of the Columbia Planning Commission and was the Founding Chair of the Greater Columbia Association of Realtors Commercial Investment Division. A past Senior Warden of Trinity Episcopal Cathedral and President of Trinity Episcopal Foundation, he has been a board member of the Girl Scouts of South Carolina, Palmetto Health Children’s Hospital and Trinity Episcopal Cathedral Vestry.
Mark and his wife Mills have three children and in his free time, he enjoys golf, running and travel.

A native of Columbia, SC, Tyler joins Cypress Commercial & Investment Real Estate as the team’s newest Development Associate.
Before Cypress, Tyler was a Financial Advisor with Merrill Lynch’s Private Banking and Investment Group in New York City. He recently graduated from Vanderbilt University’s Owen School of Management with a master’s degree in Real Estate and Strategy. Additionally, he holds a bachelor’s degree in both Economics and History from Vanderbilt University.
Outside of the office, Tyler enjoys watching Gamecocks and Commodore’s athletics, playing golf, and taking his dog, “Charlie,” on walks.
